Senate Resolution mourning the death of Peter Francis Schopen Sr. of McHenry, who passed away on August 12, 2016.

Peter Schopen Sr. was born October 20, 1946, in Evanston, served as a Paratrooper in the U.S. Army achieving the rank of Sergeant E5, and married Sandra Firestone on August 12, 1978.

Founded Mid Central Pest Control in Algonquin in 1974, which became one of the most successful pest control companies in the Chicagoland region for over 40 years.

Survived by his wife Sandy, seven children, multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren, four siblings, and was a member of Holy Apostles Catholic Church, VFW, and Lake in the Hills Lions Club.

Illinois Senate extends sincere condolences to the family and directs presentation of a suitable copy of the resolution to the Schopen family.
