Calvin K. Jensen of Milan passed away on August 29, 2016, and was born September 11, 1923, in Benton County, Iowa to Cal and Sara (Meskmen) Jensen.

During World War II, Jensen flew 32 missions in a B-24 with bombardier group 467 and received the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with 3 Oak Clusters, and Certificate of Valor.

Jensen worked at Rock Island Arsenal in various positions including repairing electric loaders, train engineer, and crane operator, and later retired from the National Guard helicopter unit in Mount Joy.

Jensen is survived by his son Cal Jensen, six grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, his brother Bill Jensen, and his care-provider Amber Matter.

The Illinois Senate expresses condolences to Jensen's family and friends, and directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family.
