Robert Lewis Depoorter of Moline passed away on August 29, 2016, at age 83.

Served as a United States Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of American Legion Post 246 in Moline.

Retired from the Teamsters as an independent truck driver and was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church.

Survived by his wife Nancy of 59 years, seven children, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and two sisters.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to the Depoorter family and directs presentation of this resolution as an expression of sympathy.
