Illinois Senate mourns the death of Robert "Bob" K. Glaudel of Silvis, who passed away on September 6, 2016.

Glaudel was born March 21, 1927, served in the United States Navy in the Pacific Theater during World War II, and worked 44 years at Desaulniers Printing Company before retiring in 1991.

Participated in the November 8, 2012 Honor Flight of the Quad-Cities to Washington, D.C., where he visited monuments and shared memories with other veterans.

Survived by daughter Linda McGraw, son-in-law Dan Hirstein, four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren; preceded in death by wife Marilyn, daughter Sandy Hirstein, and brother LeRoy Glaudel.

Senate extends sincere condolences to Glaudel's family, friends, and loved ones, and directs presentation of a suitable copy of the resolution to his family.
