Dorothy "Dottie" Byrn Spence passed away on September 17, 2016; she was born on June 25, 1931, in Gallatin, Tennessee.

Lived in Alton for over 50 years and served on the Madison County Board, worked in real estate, and volunteered with P.E.O., the Community Service League, and the Easter Seals Society.

Survived by three daughters (Lisa Spence Huber, Sharon Spence, and Dixie Spence Taylor), multiple grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.

Senate Resolution mourns her passing and expresses sympathy to her family and friends.

A suitable copy of the resolution shall be presented to the Spence family.
