Honors Clifton E. "Gene" Black of Taylorville, who passed away on September 27, 2016, at age 85.

Black was a U.S. Army veteran stationed in Germany and worked as a broadcast engineer for WTIM and WMAY radio stations and as a television repairman.

Spent his life remodeling and constructing homes with his wife Carol, instilling values of hard work in his five children and later becoming a project manager for family construction projects.

Survived by his wife of 61 years, five children, 12 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren, along with three sisters and multiple nieces and nephews.

Illinois Senate expresses sympathy to Black's family and directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to them.
