Philip R. Carlisle of Woodstock died on August 24, 2016; he was born June 25, 1948 to James R. and Greta B. Carlisle.

Carlisle was a general contractor and owner of Carlisle Construction Inc. who built homes in the Woodstock area and poured the foundation for the Woodstock Band Shell.

He was a member of the band P.M. Express and enjoyed music, fishing, boating, flying (holding a private pilot license), and spending time at his cabin on Squirrel Lake Island in Wisconsin.

Carlisle was a lifelong member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Woodstock and was married to Carol A. Mass for 51 years.

The Illinois Senate expresses sympathy for the passing of Philip Carlisle and directs that a copy of this resolution be presented to his family.
