Illinois Senate expresses sympathy for the death of Eric L. Justen of Burbank, California, formerly of Wonder Lake, who passed away on August 11, 2016.

Eric Justen was born August 25, 1972 in Woodstock and graduated from McHenry High School in 1990 and Columbia College Chicago with a major in sound.

Worked as a post-production re-recording mixer at Warner Brothers for nine years, contributing to over 100 movies and television shows including "The Fast and the Furious" and earning three consecutive Emmy nominations for sound mixing on "Breaking Bad."

Won the 2014 Motion Picture Sound Editors Award for Best Sound Editing; his final television show "Queen Sugar" will air in September with a tribute to his sound contribution.

Survived by his wife Cassandra (married May 21, 2016), his parents Rick and Mary Justen, brother Marc, and extended family.
