Robert "Bob" "Sterny" V. Sternberg of Marengo passed away on July 15, 2016, and the Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his family and friends.

Born May 6, 1943 in Belvidere to Victor and Ethel Sternberg; married Roberta Ackman on February 17, 1968 at Zion Lutheran Church in Marengo.

Retired as a foreman for the McHenry County Highway Department after 32 years of service and was active in farming and his vegetable stand.

Served at Zion Lutheran Church as head usher, Elder, and committee member; survived by his wife Roberta, daughter Robin, grandson Brendan, and step-granddaughter Madison.

Illinois Senate directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Sternberg family as an expression of sympathy.
