Kenneth Allen Whitney, who passed away at age 59, was born August 7, 1957 in Chicago to parents Gloria and Clifton Collins.

Whitney attended Amos A. Stagg Elementary School and Calumet High School, and enjoyed music (particularly the Commodores and Earth, Wind, and Fire), watching the Chicago Bears, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Whitney was skilled in home repairs, plumbing, and painting and was known as a jack of all trades.

Whitney is survived by children DeAngelo and Charlotta; sisters Karen and Dianna; nine grandchildren; nephew Tyresius; nieces Angela and Joyce; and special friend Diane.

The Illinois Senate expresses its sympathy to the family of Kenneth Whitney and directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family.
