Richard "Dick" D. Forney of Silvis died on September 21, 2016; he was born March 12, 1929 in Batavia, Iowa to parents Carroll and Roberta Forney.

Served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was discharged in 1953.

Was a member of the Teamsters union and worked as a truck driver throughout his career; also an early member of the Riverdale Booster Club.

Enjoyed fishing, gardening, and woodworking; married B. Marie Kelsey on June 13, 1950 in Iowa.

Survived by his wife B. Marie Forney, two children (Richard Dean and Cheryl), four grandchildren, and his brother Jack Forney.
