Arthur "Ozzie" Frank Carlson of Silvis passed away on September 20, 2016; he was born December 24, 1928, to Abner F. and Louise C. Kulper Carlson in Geneseo.

Served in the United States Army during the Korean War and worked for Hardin Implement in Orion and Montgomery Elevator in Moline in electrical wiring.

Active member of the Orion American Legion, Orion VFW and Honor Guard, and participated in community events including Easter Egg Hunts and the Orion Fall Festival.

Survived by two children (LaVerne and Joyce), five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, as well as two half-sisters.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his family and directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Carlson family.
