Mary Lee Gray, a 79-year-old former Chicago Public School teacher, passed away; she was born September 19, 1937 in Denmark, Tennessee.

Earned a Bachelor of Science from Lane Teachers College where she played basketball and served 35 years in the Chicago Public School District before retiring in 1998.

Survived by four children (Nikita Powell, Sandra Powell, Dr. Anitrese Wilks, and Dr. Latonya Wilks-Daniels), four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous siblings and extended family members.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew her.

A suitable copy of this resolution shall be presented to the Gray family as an expression of the Senate's deepest sympathy.
