Illinois Senate expresses condolences for the death of Anne N. Brinn of Rock Island, who passed away on October 17, 2016.

Anne Brinn was born January 8, 1916, in West Hazleton, Pennsylvania, and earned her registered nursing degree from St. Joseph's School of Nursing in Philadelphia.

Served as a nurse in the United States Army Nurse Corps during World War II and worked at the Veterans Hospital in Washington, D.C., while her husband attended law school at Georgetown University.

Was a member and past-President of the Rock Island County Bar Auxiliary, a founder of The ARC of Rock Island County (established 1952), and a charter member of the Women in Military Service for America Memorial in Washington, D.C.

A suitable copy of the resolution will be presented to her family; she is survived by her son Michael Brinn, his partner Jessica Brady, and grandchildren David and Kelly Brinn.
