Illinois Senate mourns the death of Robert Glen "Bob" Stickler Sr. of Puryear, Tennessee and North Chicago, who died on October 14, 2016

Stickler was born September 19, 1928 in Waukegan, served in the United States Army during the Korean War, and was a career police officer with the North Chicago Police Department for 21 years, retiring with the rank of Sergeant

Stickler also retired from the security force of the North Chicago VA Hospital and served as President of the North Chicago Police Department Pension Board

Stickler is survived by his wife of 68 years, Evelyne Harazak Stickler; five children; one sister; one brother; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins

Senate extends sincere condolences to Stickler's family and directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to the family as an expression of sympathy
