Gerald L. Rodenkirch of Richmond died on September 14, 2016, and the Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his family.

Rodenkirch was born April 28, 1949, worked in the sheet metal industry for over 40 years, and married Anne Elliott on September 8, 1973.

He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman who enjoyed the North Woods, road trips, and time with his family and Labradors at his cabin on the lake.

Rodenkirch is survived by his wife Anne of 43 years, two children (Laura and Brian), five grandchildren, a sister, and numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

The Senate directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Rodenkirch family as an expression of sympathy.
