Karl N. Schmidt of McHenry passed away on September 20, 2016; he was born on December 15, 1932 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

Served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1967 with stations in Vietnam, Japan, and Germany.

Worked at the Lakeshore Country Club in Glencoe for 34 years and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in McHenry for 30 years.

Survived by his wife Zofia (married November 30, 1985), sisters Carol Udovich and Joanne Hinze, and many nieces and nephews.

Illinois Senate expresses sympathy to the family and directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to them.
