James A. Thiel of Johnsburg died on September 23, 2016; he was born April 7, 1962 in Woodstock to Allan Thiel and Betty (Scarbrough) Sieben.

Served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps from 1980 to 1987 and worked for G.W. Thiel, Inc.

Married Kelly Breit on July 10, 1982 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Johnsburg and was survived by his wife of 34 years, children Jacob and Danielle, and numerous family members.

The Illinois Senate expresses condolences to the family and friends of James A. Thiel.

A copy of the resolution will be presented to the Thiel family as an expression of sympathy.
