Illinois Senate mourns the death of Ralph S. Dufour of Moline, who died on October 29, 2016.

Dufour was born August 2, 1928, married Ann Kuhn on November 10, 1951, and served five years in the United States Marine Corps with two years of active duty in China.

Retired from the Crawford Company in Rock Island as a skilled sheet metal worker known for copper work, including installation of the copper roof on the old Moline Post Office.

Active member of Sacred Heart Church, Catholic Order of Forrester Court 1691, Sheet Metal Local 91, American Legion Post 246, and East Moline Pigeon Club; enjoyed fishing, hunting, and raising racing pigeons.

Survived by his wife Ann, eight children, 18 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren; preceded in death by his parents, sister Mary Lou Crouse, and son-in-law Rudy Werner.
