Frank A. Cacci died on September 22, 2016, at age 100; he was born on June 29, 1916.

Served as Rockford police officer in the 1930s and as military police officer during World War II, earning the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with three bronze battle stars and the Good Conduct Medal.

Owned and operated the Woodstock News Agency from the late 1940s through early 1980s and was founding member and commander (1949-1950) of Woodstock's VFW Honor Squad.

Active in community organizations including the Woodstock Country Club, where he served as President in 1960 and scored a hole-in-one in 1964, and the Elks, receiving life membership in 1983.
