Glen A. Marcum passed away on November 1, 2016; he was born in Joliet and graduated from Joliet Central High School in 1978.

Worked as an auto mechanic for 39 years at Bertino's Auto in Joliet.

Served the Joliet community through numerous roles including volunteer basketball coach at St. Paul the Apostle School, three terms on Joliet Grade School Board of School Inspectors, President of Greater Joliet Youth Foundation, and chair of Joliet Relay for Life.

Additional community involvement included President of Joliet Township High School Athletic Boosters, co-chair of Joliet Park District, volunteer at Daybreak Shelter, political analyst for WJOL, and founder of Joliet Grade Schools Foundation for Educational Excellence.

Survived by his wife Patricia (married 34 years), four children, father James R. Marcum, two siblings, and numerous extended family members.
