Harold E. Carter passed away on October 22, 2016; he was born in Indiana on September 26, 1934.

Earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Studies from Ball State University in 1957 and a Master of Arts in Elementary Education and Administration from Ball State University in 1962.

Worked as a teacher and administrator in public schools for over 20 years, including positions as assistant superintendent and principal, before moving into school supply sales.

Was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan for over 50 years, a passionate reader and history enthusiast, longtime blood donor, Mason, and member of Phi Delta Kappa Educational Honorary Society.

Survived by his wife Sandra (married nearly 54 years), adopted children Scott and Melia, son-in-law Tom Cousins, daughter-in-law Ginny Carter, and four grandchildren: Kailan Carter, Jessica Carter, Ava Cousins, and Eli Cousins.
