Expresses the Illinois Senate's mourning of the death of Laurence A. Sletten of Colona, who passed away on November 8, 2016.

Acknowledges Sletten's military service in the United States Navy during World War II and his career as a dairy farmer, truck driver, and International Harvester employee for 20 years.

Recognizes his more than 35 years of service at the Colona mortuary and his community involvement as a founding member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, charter member of the Colona Lions Club, and member of the American Legion.

Notes that Sletten is survived by three children (Larry C., Bruce E., and Clarence A.), seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two sisters (Janet Craven and Marion Sletten).

Directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to Sletten's family as an expression of sympathy.
