Michael Gutterridge passed away on July 8, 2016, prompting this memorial resolution from the Illinois Senate.

Gutterridge purchased and operated Gutterridge Harley Davidson in Tilton in 1979, a family business his parents established on College Street in 1958.

Active community member and life member of the American Motorcycle Association; held honorary lifetime membership in the Illinois Motorcycle Dealers Association and participated in motorcycle racing events including the Springfield Mile.

Member of Olive Branch Masonic Temple, Eastern Star, and the Gao Grotto; survived by his wife Elizabeth "Beth" Gutterridge, sons Troy and Roger, and grandson Jacob Gutterridge.
