Illinois population over age 60 will increase from 22.3% by 2030 to nearly one in three by 2060, creating challenges and opportunities across all generations.

Generations Serving Generations organization, founded in 1986 and sponsored by the Illinois Board of Higher Education and Department on Aging, will promote local intergenerational discussions called "Understanding the Challenges for each Generation."

Generations Serving Generations must complete a report by December 31, 2017 titled "Solutions Across Generations, Understanding the Challenges for each Generation" reflecting ideas from Illinoisans across all life stages.

Illinois commits to adopting policies and programs ensuring an aging population continues toward a cohesive, productive, secure, and equitable society.
