Illinois Senate expresses mourning for the death of Warren Wayne Booker Sr. of Milan, who passed away on November 27, 2016.

Booker was born July 14, 1935 in Riverton, Iowa to David and Sussannah Evans Booker; married Rose Marie Hewett in Milan on December 23, 1964; and served in the United States Navy.

Booker worked as a welder at J.I. Case for many years before retiring in 1997, and also maintained a farm during his younger working years.

Booker is survived by his son Joe Booker, granddaughters Kayla and Amanda Weikert, brothers Ken and Larry Booker, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Senate directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Booker's family as an expression of sympathy.
