Ardon R. "Ardie" Thompson of Silvis passed away on November 27, 2016, at the age of 73.

Served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967 and worked as an assembly lineman at Case International Harvester for 36 years, retiring July 1, 2002.

Married Ada Darlene Williams on January 14, 1968, in Fort Hood, Texas; preceded in death by his wife and mother Bernice Ockee Thompson.

Survived by significant other Sandra Wenz, daughter Kim Thompson, brother Ron Thompson, sisters Zelda Cowan, Diane "Toot" Deets, and Carolyn Neal, plus numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Illinois Senate extends sincere condolences to his family and friends.
