IL HB0206

Amends the Election Code Section 29-9 to permit individuals to photograph their own ballot at any time during the voting process.

Allows persons to view photographs of completed or partially completed ballots without legal prohibition.

Establishes a Class 4 felony for anyone who gives, promises to give, or receives money or other valuable consideration in connection with the dissemination or viewing of ballot photographs.

Maintains existing Class 4 felony penalties for knowingly marking a ballot so it can be observed by another person or knowingly observing another person's ballot.
