Secretary of State authorized to solicit and accept sponsorship of registration renewal notices to offset preparation and distribution costs, with sponsors paying a fee to have their name or logo printed on the notices.

Sponsorship contracts limited to one-year terms and cannot include entities licensed or regulated by the Secretary (except driver's license holders), pharmaceutical or tobacco manufacturers, medical marijuana or alcohol distributors, weapons manufacturers, elected officials, candidates, political committees, or entities making independent political expenditures.

Sponsor names or logos prohibited from including images of elected officials, candidates, political parties, political advocacy language, or content deemed abusive, threatening, vulgar, obscene, or profane by the Secretary.

Sponsor name or logo must be smaller than the Illinois state seal and cannot imply endorsement by the Secretary or State of Illinois.

All sponsorship payments deposited into the Secretary of State's Grant Fund solely for offsetting costs of preparing and distributing registration renewal notices.
