Requires group and individual accident and health insurance policies and managed care plans amended, delivered, issued, or renewed after July 18, 2017 to provide coverage for treatment of pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorders associated with streptococcal infections (PANDAS) and pediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndrome (PANS)

Coverage must include intravenous immunoglobulin therapy and any treatment administered or prescribed after July 18, 2017

Requires billing and diagnosis coding as autoimmune encephalitis until a specific diagnostic code is assigned, and prohibits coverage denial based on autoimmune encephalopathy or autoimmune encephalitis diagnoses

Makes the coverage requirement inoperative if federal regulations or guidance under the Affordable Care Act require the State to defray coverage costs, with exception for coverage authorized under Social Security Act Section 1902 (Medicaid)

Takes effect upon becoming law
