HB2028 Summary

• Changes the expiration date for aquatic life dealer licenses, minnow dealer licenses, taxidermist licenses, aquaculture permits, commercial roe dealer permits, and daily fee fishing area licenses from January 31 to March 31 of each year.

• Amends the Fish and Aquatic Life Code (515 ILCS 5) Sections 20-70, 20-75, 20-80, 20-85, 20-90, 20-92, and 20-95 to implement the new March 31 expiration date.

• Amends the Wildlife Code (520 ILCS 5) Section 3.21 to change the taxidermist license expiration date from January 31 to March 31 of each year.

• Maintains all existing licensing fees and requirements for aquatic life dealers, minnow dealers, taxidermists, aquaculture facilities, roe dealers, and daily fee fishing operations.
