• Exempts drugs prescribed for residents of licensed long-term care facilities from the 4-prescription limit per 30-day period that normally applies to Medicaid recipients.

• Maintains existing exemptions from the 4-prescription limit for immunosuppressant drugs, oncolytic drugs, anti-retroviral drugs, and antipsychotic drugs.

• Allows the Department to exempt children with complex medical needs enrolled in care coordination entities from the prescription limit if the entity has a comprehensive drug reconciliation program.

• Permits the Department to require 7-day or smaller supplies of drugs for nursing home residents while paying only one dispensing fee per 31-day supply.
