IL HB2513

Increases the monthly personal needs allowance for Medicaid recipients residing in specialized mental health rehabilitation facilities or community-integrated living arrangements to $100 total from both state and federal sources.

Requires the State to supplement the federal minimum personal needs allowance ($30) so residents receive $100 monthly for personal expenses and independence.

Mandates the personal needs allowance increase annually on January 1 at the same rate as the Social Security cost-of-living adjustment.

Requires the State to supplement any additional income needed by licensed facilities to provide adequate care to residents.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
