IL HB2542

Amends the University of Illinois Hospital Act to prohibit requiring conflict of interest forms from medical staff applicants or members unless they hold a medical staff leadership position, hospital management position, or budgeting/purchasing responsibility.

Amends the Hospital Licensing Act to impose the same restriction on all hospitals in Illinois regarding conflict of interest form requirements for medical staff credentialing or membership.

Limits conflict of interest disclosure requirements to medical staff applicants or members with specified positions of authority or financial responsibility.

Applies uniformly to both the University of Illinois Hospital system and all other licensed hospitals throughout Illinois.
