IL HB2695

Amends the Private Detective, Private Alarm, Private Security, Fingerprint Vendor, and Locksmith Act of 2004 to authorize courts to award reasonable attorney's fees and costs to licensees, interested parties, or injured persons who successfully obtain injunctive relief against unlicensed practitioners.

Allows reasonable attorney's fees and costs to be awarded whether injunctive relief is obtained by consent or through court judgment.

Applies to cases where unlicensed individuals or entities practice as private detectives, security contractors, alarm contractors, fingerprint vendors, locksmiths, or their respective agencies.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
