IL HB2700

Renames the "Consent by Minors to Medical Procedures Act" to the "Consent by Minors to Health Care Services Act" to broaden the scope of covered services.

Expands the list of health care providers authorized to provide services with minor consent to include chiropractic physicians and licensed optometrists, in addition to physicians, advanced practice nurses, and physician assistants.

Allows minors ages 14-17 living separately from parents or guardians ("minors seeking care") to consent to limited primary care services if identified in writing by an adult relative, homeless service representative, attorney, school official, social service agency, or religious organization.

Protects health care professionals from civil or criminal liability when they rely in good faith on a minor's representations or identification documentation when providing care under this act.

Maintains confidentiality protections for communications between health care professionals and minors seeking care, and requires providers to make reasonable efforts to involve families in treatment when appropriate and with the minor's consent.
