Amends the Fire Protection District Act to allow fire protection districts to annex property into their jurisdiction through ordinance adoption if the district is already providing coverage under Section 10.2 of the Emergency Telephone System Act

Requires fire protection districts to provide property owners with notice by certified mail at least 20 days prior to a hearing on the proposed annexation ordinance

Mandates that all interested parties have an opportunity to be heard at the annexation hearing before the ordinance is adopted

Requires the district secretary to transmit a certified copy of the annexation ordinance to the county clerk, the State Fire Marshal's office, and affected property owners

Property becomes an integral part of the fire protection district on the date specified in the annexation ordinance, subject to all district benefits and responsibilities, effective January 1, 2018
