IL HB2941

Amends the Property Tax Code Section 12-10 to require the chief county assessment officer to notify each member of the General Assembly representing a district located wholly or partly within the county after the assessment list is published.

Applies to counties with fewer than 3,000,000 inhabitants that must publish complete assessment lists annually or lists of added/changed assessments in non-general assessment years.

Notification must occur as soon as possible after the assessment list is published in newspapers as required by existing law.

Effective immediately upon becoming law.
