Establishes licensure requirements for anesthesiologist assistants by the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, including a master's degree from an accredited program and passage of the National Commission on Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants examination.

Requires anesthesiologist assistants to work under the supervision of an anesthesiologist who maintains immediate availability and physical proximity to intervene in medical emergencies.

Defines supervisory relationship as the anesthesiologist overseeing activities, accepting responsibility for services rendered, and remaining able to reestablish direct contact with patients at all times.

Adds anesthesiologist assistants to lists of personnel authorized to assist in surgery and administer anesthesia in ambulatory surgical treatment centers and hospitals under physician supervision.

Establishes disciplinary grounds and procedures for anesthesiologist assistant licensure, including civil penalties not to exceed $10,000 for violations, with criminal penalties of Class A misdemeanor for first offense and Class 4 felony for subsequent offenses.
