Prohibits polling places from being located in police stations or places with armed guards unless no other viable option exists in the precinct.

Applies the polling place restriction to regular election precincts under Section 11-2 of the Election Code.

Applies the polling place restriction to precincts in cities, villages, or incorporated towns under Section 11-4 of the Election Code.

Applies the polling place restriction to permanent early voting polling places required under Section 19A-10 of the Election Code.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
