• Redefines "licensed athletic trainer" to include those working under physician direction, prescription, or collaboration (rather than only team physicians) and removes specific enumerated duties in favor of broader authority over therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation.

• Adds new Section 15.5 permitting athletic trainers to utilize emergency care and physical medicine and rehabilitation techniques related to prevention, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, rehabilitation, and reconditioning.
