IL HB3070

Amends the Illinois Pension Code to allow one payment after termination of participation for certain service credit purchases (paragraphs 1, 4, 5, 5.1, 6, 7, and 12 of Section 7-139).

Permits General Assembly members to make one payment after termination of service to establish prior municipal service credits under Section 7-139.2.

Allows sheriff's law enforcement employees to convert up to 10 years of non-law enforcement service to law enforcement service with one payment permitted after termination of participation under Section 7-142.1(c).

Enables elected county officers to make one payment after termination of participation to establish alternative service credits under Section 7-145.1.

Permits employees who received separation benefits and return to service to make one payment after termination to reinstate creditable service under Section 7-169(a).
