Amends the Illinois Pension Code to modify employment restrictions for retired teachers receiving retirement annuities who return to work as teachers.

Establishes tiered limits on paid days or hours retired annuitants can work annually: 100 days/500 hours before July 1, 2001; 120 days/600 hours from July 1, 2001 through June 30, 2011; 100 days/500 hours from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2017; 120 days/600 hours (with 100-day maximum in same classroom) from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2019; and 100 days/500 hours beginning July 1, 2019.

Converts one paid day to five hours when employment is split between daily and hourly work.

Exempts annuitants participating in the return-to-service program under Section 16-150.1 from these employment restrictions.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
