IL HB3131

Requires the Department of Human Services to collect and publicly report racial and ethnic demographic data for all program participants across each department-administered program

Establishes uniform racial and ethnic classifications including American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, White, other races, and multiracial categories

Allows the Department to maintain alternative racial and ethnic classifications for programs subject to different federal reporting requirements

Mandates public availability of all demographic data through posting on the Department's official website in a timely manner, using existing reporting mechanisms or creating new ones if necessary
