IL HB3154

Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code Section 15-316 to authorize local authorities to limit operation of trucks and commercial vehicles on highways under their jurisdiction in areas with poor air quality.

Defines "poor air quality" as when pollutants from natural and unnatural sources reach concentrations high enough to endanger human health or the environment.

Allows local authorities to implement these restrictions through ordinance or resolution, with appropriate signage required on affected highways.

Adds new subsection (c-3) to existing vehicle code provisions regarding local authority restrictions on vehicle operations.
