IL HB3402

Reduces annual stipends for county officials (supervisors of assessments, treasurers, coroners, recorders, auditors, sheriffs, and circuit court clerks) based on county population tiers.

Officials in counties with population under 100,000 receive full stipend amounts; counties with 100,000-400,000 population receive 50% of stipend; counties with 400,000+ population receive no stipend.

Applies only to officials whose terms begin on or after the bill's effective date.

Amends the State Mandates Act to exempt this mandate from state reimbursement requirements.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
