IL HB3799

Amends the Illinois Banking Act, Savings Bank Act, and Illinois Credit Union Act to allow financial institutions to refuse transactions when employees or officers with required training reasonably believe financial exploitation of an eligible adult is occurring or may occur.

Requires employees and officers to complete training requirements under subsection (g-1) of Section 3.5 of the Adult Protective Services Act before refusing transactions on these grounds.

Provides immunity from liability for financial institutions and their employees or officers for actions taken in good faith when refusing transactions under these provisions.

Applies to banks, savings banks, and credit unions operating in Illinois.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
