Local governments, school districts, and taxing bodies must publish severance agreements involving sexual harassment or discrimination findings on their websites and provide to news media within 72 hours of approval.

Required disclosures include the recipient's name and title, payment amount, statement that sexual harassment or discrimination was found, and the date, time, and location of the approval meeting.

Information may be withheld if disclosure would interfere with law enforcement or legal proceedings, reveal a complainant's identity without consent, or endanger the complainant's safety.

Public bodies are not liable for compliance with these requirements except in cases of willful or wanton misconduct.

Act takes effect immediately upon becoming law and does not supersede confidentiality provisions in severance agreements or other public records disclosure requirements.
