IL HB4267

Requires each state department tasked with implementing newly passed laws to prepare and deliver implementation reports to the General Assembly.

Reports must include the law citation, whether implementation is complete, estimated completion date if not finished, any implementation issues or impediments, and other relevant information deemed necessary by the department director or secretary.

Department directors or secretaries must file reports within 30 days after an immediately effective law's effective date, or within 60 days for laws with other or no specified effective dates.

All implementation reports must be publicly available on both the reporting department's website and the General Assembly's website.

Requirements apply only to laws passed after this Act becomes effective; the Act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
