IL HB4281

Amends the Illinois School Code to require school boards to conduct in-service training for all personnel at least once every 2 years on identifying signs of homelessness in adolescents and teens.

Training must include appropriate referral techniques for school personnel who work with students.

Adds this homelessness training requirement to existing mandated training programs covering mental illness, suicide prevention, domestic and sexual violence, anaphylactic reactions, and educator ethics.
